Cala D'Or

For quite a while now, the former fishing village, on the southeast coast of Majorca, has turned out to be a very much appreciated holiday location. Yet the typical “sins” have been omitted here – there are no multi-storey buildings around. In Cala D’Or the holiday domiciles and villas are white washed; most of them only have one upper floor; that is probably why Cala D’Or enjoys the nickname “Little Ibiza”.

Don’t waste your precious time looking out for long stretched beaches; here they are small bays, cutting into the rocky coast like fjords, which invite you with their beautiful sandy beaches to have a swim. The best known ones are Cala Gran, the Cala D’Or and Cala Esmeralda.

A mini train takes the holidaymakers on a regular schedule to the various beaches.

The pedestrian zone, as well as most of the yacht harbour are pretty calm regarding traffic.
Its various pretty cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques invite to come in and slender around. In the summer season it can get quite busy here !

Porto Cari, in the bay of Cala Llonga , offers exclusive yachts and charter boats, equally, moorings and safety in case of stormy weather, as well as numerous restaurants and bars. If you are a sportive active person, you will find all kinds of opportunities to practice, e.g. surfing, tennis, golf, horse riding, walking, etc... to name but a few
